Website Design

  The following images are the designs developed in Photoshop CS6 for a “Home Page and Navigation System” project required for a Digital Art and Design course.

   The images are listed in the order that users might navigate through the “Digital Educator” website. The first image is the “Home” page. From this page a user has many options such as: a quick view of content pages, navigate to other pages, or even link to a Facebook connection.

    The next image is the “About” page. Here a user can read about the author and her perspectives on why a user might need her services.

    This leads to the next image which is the “Services” page. A user can click on available content to see what the author has to offer and price quotes for the particular service.

    Now a user can navigate to the “Portfolio” page. They can then view examples of previously designed content developed by the site’s author.

    The last image is the “Contact” page. Here is where a user can connect to the site’s author via Email, Edmodo, and or her Blog.

These pages were developed to produce a Home Page and Navigation System. I used Photoshop techniques that I learned via the lynda.com tutorials. I also used some techniques that I picked up while reading some of the content pages that our professor had suggested listed under “Bulletin Board News” (see Work Cited). Some of the Photoshop techniques that I used are: add a layer mask, drop shadow, gradient and color overlays, hue saturation, and filters such as render with a fibers effect, brush and the custom shape tools.
